Weldon Howard McBride, 70, of
Silsbee, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014.
He was born on October 28, 1943, in Cleveland, to Thelma Foxworth McBride and
Arnold McBride. Weldon served his
country in the United States Navy during the Cuban missile crisis. He later worked as a service technician with
C.D. Imaging Systems.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy
McBride; children, Lanita McBride Matlock and her husband, J.D., of Jennings,
Oklahoma; Laronn McBride Curto and her husband, Terry, of Oceanside, California;
and Chip McBride and his wife, Candace, of Magnolia; grandchildren, Trey
Anderson, Katherine Anderson, Peyton McBride, and Ainsley McBride; mother,
Thelma McBride of Silsbee; brothers, Ronnie McBride and his wife, Nita, of
Jasper, and Armond McBride and his wife, Sue, of Beaumont; and sisters, Melba
Gordon and Sylvia Buckner, both of Silsbee.
He is preceded in death by his father; sister, Edith McBride; and
brother, Kent McBride.
A gathering of Mr. McBride’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 14,
2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery
Road, Silsbee.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014, at
Broussard’s, with interment at Magnolia Springs, Kirbyville.
