Joyce
Anderson Roche was born on April 26, 1924, in Mossville, Mississippi and passed
away peacefully on February 11, 2014, in Katy, Texas. She lived in Port Arthur and Groves since
1942.
Her son,
Lennis J. Roche Jr. and a granddaughter, Vicki Miller Copeland precede her in
death.
She is
survived by daughters, Brenda Melancon Hines (James) and Connie Melancon
Johnson; brothers, Tommy Anderson and Hill Anderson; grandchildren, LeTesia
Callahan, Julie Hudson Garrett (David), Joey Roche and Daniel Roche; great-grandchildren,
Julie Beth Scott Wessman (Riche), Steven Copeland, Jacqueline Callahan Warren,
Austin Copeland, Emily Garrett, Natalie Garrett and Joshua Garrett; and great -great
grandson, Noah Warren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and family whom she
loved.
A
gathering of Mrs. Roche’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her
funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
