Thomas Elmer Freelong, 66, of Kountze, died Monday, February 10, 2014. He was born on October 17, 1947, in Leavenworth, Kansas, to Jeannette Ann Marcotte Freelong and Harry Earl Freelong. Thomas was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam and was a retired master mechanic with Broadway Auto Repair and also worked as a brushmaker with Bluebonnet Industrial Brush Company.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Freelong; brothers, James Freelong and his wife, Hope, of Centraila, Washington and Joe Freelong and his wife, Deana, of Fairbanks, Alaska; sisters, Bonnie Long of Silsbee; Harriett Frampton and her husband, Al, of Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania; Eunice Cole of Deer Lodge, Montana; and Irene Owens of Edwardsville, Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A gathering of Mr. Freelong’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont
