Theola
Doebele, 86, of Port Neches, died Thursday, February 6, 2014. She was born
January 5, 1928, to Matilda Elizabeth Uthe and Nelson Dennis Thompson in
Follett, Texas. After marrying Severin Doebele, they lived in Port Neches for
sixty-four years. Theola worked as an attendance clerk at Port Neches-Groves
High School for many years. She was also an active member of First United
Methodist Church, Port Neches. Theola will be remembered as a loving mother and
grandmother.
She
is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Mondey of League City and Tilda Thompson
of Port Neches; son, Severin Joseph “Jody” Doebele, Jr. of Spring;
grandchildren, Brian Doebele and his wife, Rebecca, of Dallas; Faris Mondey and
his wife, Beth, of League City; and Luke Doebele and his wife, Jenni, of
Humble; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Bruce of South Carolina; and
many beloved relatives and friends,
Theola
is preceded in death by her husband, Severin Doebele; her parents; five
sisters; and two brothers.
A
gathering of Mrs. Doebele’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with a
memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church, 1826
Nall Street, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland.
A
private burial will be held in New Orleans at a later date.
