Marie Fielding
August 23, 1922 - January 31, 2014
Marie
Fielding, 91, of Port Bolivar, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at The Arboretum
of Winnie. She was born August 23, 1922, in Oklahoma, to Mary and Joe Luke, and
had been a resident of Port Bolivar for forty years. She was self-employed as owner of “First and
Last Stop Grill” in Galveston, for thirty years.
Marie is
survived by her son, Jack Blume, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Winnie; grandsons,
Derek Blume and his wife, Tera and Jack Blume III and his wife, Casey, all of
Port Bolivar; great-grandchildren, Julian Blume, Carlee Blume, Schuyler Wilcox,
Jack Blume IV, and Maddie Blume; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering
of Mrs. Fielding’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with
a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Broussard’s. 134 West Buccaneer Drive,
Winnie. Her funeral service
will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Port Bolivar United
Methodist Church, Madison Avenue at 12th Street, Port Bolivar, with
interment to follow at Port Bolivar Cemetery, Port Bolivar.
A special

Beaumont, for the care and kindness shown to Marie.
