James
Ray “Jimmy” Barnett, Jr., 34, of Alvin, died Saturday, January 25, 2014, in
Victoria. He was born April 22, 1979, to Cynda and James Ray Barnett, Sr., in
Beaumont.
Jimmy
is survived by his father, James Ray Barnett, Sr. and his wife, Nina, of Alvin;
mother, Cynda Stephenson of Colorado; brother, Aaron Matthew Barnett and his
wife, Chelcie, of Nederland; grandparents, James E. and Virginia Barnett of
Vidor; longtime girlfriend, Miss Sydney Johnson of Pearland; stepmother, Margie
Howard; uncles, Donald Barnett and his wife, Carolyn, of Pueblo, Colorado,
Robert Barnett and his wife, Connie, of Vidor, and John K. Barnett and his
wife, Theresa, of Midloathian, Texas; aunts, Patty Barnett Attaway and her
husband, Jay,and Linda Stephenson, both of Vidor; cousins, Ryan Barnett of
Pueblo, Colorado, Lisa Barnett, Cody Barnett, both of Vidor, Taylor Barnett and
Greg Barnett, both of Midloathian, Texas, Brandon Barnett of Kaufman, Jay
Neathery of Pflugerville, and Brandi of Vidor.
He
is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dru and Dot Stephenson.
A
gathering of Jimmy’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street,
Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014,
at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County,
Nederland.
