Margaret
“Peggy” Mannino, 80, of Nederland, died Saturday, January 25, 2014. She was
born October 16, 1933, to Lillian and John Stocks in Peterborough, England.
Peggy devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a longtime member of
St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Nederland and enjoyed elephants,
collecting Toby mugs and loved to knit and bake.
She
is survived by her husband, Roy Mannino; sons, Robert J. Mannino and his wife,
Melinda, and Carl Anthony, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Monica Renee
Mannino of Nederland and Chris Miller of Lumberton; great-grandchildren, Bryce
Miller and Landon Miller; brothers, John Stocks, Peter Stocks and his wife, Ann
and William Stocks and his wife, Maggie; and sisters, Violet Bailey and Audrey
Hutchcraft, all of England.
Peggy
is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, George Stocks.
A
gathering of Mrs. Mannino’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until
7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at time, Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. ., Thursday, January 30, 2014, at St.
Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment
to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
