Jerome "Jerry" Wayne Boutin,Sr.
April 4, 1942 - January 22, 2014
Jerome Wayne Boutin, Sr., 71, of
Evadale, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014, in Beaumont.
He was born on April 4, 1942, in Beaumont,
to Lorine Haure Boutin and William Floyd Boutin. Jerome served his country in the United
States Navy during Vietnam. He later worked as an operator at Equastar and
was a Cell Teacher at Calvary
Tabernacle Church
in Fannett. After putting himself through
EMS and Fire Marshall
School; Jerome served as
the Chief of the Evadale Volunteer Fire Department for twenty-three years.
Survivors include his wife,
Barbara Boutin; children, Lisa Thomas and her husband, Jeff, and Jerome Boutin,
Jr. “Peanut” and his wife, Michelle, all of Evadale; grandchildren, Nichole
Thomas, Crystal Thomas, and Cody Wayne Boutin; and great-grandchild, Taylor
Cline. He is preceded in death by his
parents.
A gathering of Mr. Boutin’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 24,
2014, at Evadale Volunteer Fire Department, Highway 105, Evadale, under the
direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee. His
funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Evadale
Volunteer Fire Department, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery, Port Neches.
