Beatrice "Bea" Salinas

Beatrice “Bea” Salinas,
73, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Harbor Hospital,
Beaumont. She was born September 13, 1940, to Jovita and Otillio Collazo in
Port Arthur, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
Bea is survived by her
husband, Joseph Salinas; sons, Doug Salinas of Nederland and Pat Salinas and his wife, Susie, of Port Neches; daughters, Pam Hammond of Groves, Debbie Biehle
and her husband, James, of Nederland and Paula Salinas of Port Neches; seventeen
grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and brothers, Arthur Collazo and
Charles Collazo, both of Nederland.
She is preceded in
death by her parents; and sister, Eleanor Hernandez.
A gathering of Mrs.
Salinas’ family and friends will be from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m., with a Rosary
to be recited at 6:30p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North
12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10:30a.m., Monday, January 20, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic
Church, 3648 Sgt Lucian Adams Boulevard, Port Arthur, with interment to follow at
Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur.
