Ina Frances Harvill Jordan, 83,
of Fred, passed away peacefully Friday, January 10, 2014, at her
residence. She was born on July 26,
1930, in Fred, to Bertie Baker Harvill and William E. Harvill. She was a lifelong resident of Fred. Ina was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church
since 1966 where she served as clerk and Sunday School Secretary for many
years. She was a devoted wife, mother,
and grandmother. Ina was a homemaker and
loved to work in the yard.
Survivors include her husband of
sixty-five years, Newton Jordan; children, Steve Jordan and Melissa, of Silsbee
and Julia Fountain and her husband, Steve, of Fred; grandchildren, Doot
Greenwood and his wife, Christina, of Spurger; Amy Johnson and her husband,
Jerald, of Lumberton; Kim Spurlock and her husband, Jason, of Fred; and Steven
Jordan and his wife, Amanda, of Lumberton; and great-grandchildren, Gracie and
Della Greenwood, Emma and Samuel Spurlock, Jamie Johnson, and Brayden, and
Cason Jordan. She is preceded in death
by her parents; great-grandson, Matthew Johnson; and brother, Dan Harvill.
A gathering of Mrs. Jordan’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12,
2014, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 13259 FM 1943 Road E, Fred. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m.,
Monday, January 13, 2014, at the church with interment to follow at Franks
Branch Cemetery, Fred.
