Marlee
Floyd-Willingham, 25, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014,
surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 22, 1988, to Jeri Peet Floyd
and Ronald Edward Floyd, in Houston, and had been a lifelong resident of this
area. Marlee was a registered nurse for Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital,
Beaumont. She enjoyed playing soccer and traveling. Marlee will be remembered
as a giving and selfless person who had a constant unfailing love for her
husband, David, as he did for her.
Survivors
include her husband of two years, David Willingham; parents, Jeri and Ronnie
Floyd; sister, Madison Floyd; mother-in-law, Tracey Babcock of Bridge City;
grandparents, Carole and J.D. Peet, and Billie Floyd, all of Port Neches; grandmother-in-law,
Mary Jo Lamb of Beaumont; and a host of other relatives and friends. She will
especially be missed by her faithful four legged companions, Rocco and Tank.
She is preceded
in death by her grandfather, Ira Floyd, Jr.; father-in-law, Brian Babcock; and
grandfather-in-law, Rodney Lamb.
A gathering of
Marlee’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with her funeral service
to follow at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland. A family committal will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park,
Port Neches.
