Olivia Marie Coats, infant daughter of Rachel Melancon and Trent Coats, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston. She was born on December 28, 2013, in Port Arthur.

Survivors include her parents; grandparents, Angie and Derek Coats and Kirk Melancon and Shelly Kennedy; great-grandparents, Sue and Danny Sims, Glenda and James Parker, and Rose Coats; uncles, Thomas Ray Wilcox, Tony Balismo, and Kirk Melancon, Jr.; aunts, Destiny Coats, Kristen Balismo, and Kelli Green; and great aunts, Dana Kennedy and Leslie Smith.

A gathering of Olivia’s family and friends will be 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
