Percy G. Taylor, 88, of Nederland, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Mid
Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland. Born June 10, 1925, in Garrison, Texas,
he was the son of Willie Garrison Taylor and John Earl Taylor. Percy was a United States Army veteran. He began working with Pure Oil in 1953 and
retired from Union Oil in 1984 having been employed as a pipefitter.
He is survived by his wife,
Vaudine Taylor of Nederland; son, Dale Taylor and his wife, Jackie, of
Nederland; daughter, Betsy Taylor Evans and her husband, Jimmy, of Vicksburg,
Mississippi; five grandchildren, Jake Taylor and his wife, Angela, Sarah
Taylor, Mike Lewis, Gary Evans and Samantha and Ricky Evans and his wife, Tammy;
five great grandchildren, Kane Rodgers, McKenzy Lewis, Ty Lewis, Jodie White,
and C. J. Evans; and nieces, Suzy Reierson
and Jane Reierson. He was preceded in
death by his parents and a sister, Jean Reierson.
A gathering of Mr. Taylor’s
family and friends will be Sunday evening, December 29, 2013, from
5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral services will be 10:00 a.m.,
Monday, December 30, 2013, at Broussard’s Chapel, followed by burial at Oak Bluff
Memorial Park in Port
Neches.
