Marilyn
June Baker, 78, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013. She was born on June 2, 1935, in Waupun,
Wisconsin, to Louise Brown Howard and John Howard. She worked as a telephone operator for
Southwestern Bell. Marilyn was devoted
and dedicated to her family, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening and
she liked listening to country music and gospel.
Survivors
include her children, Lucinda Gurgoze and her husband Erdal, of Tucson,
Arizona; Karen Baker of Beaumont; and David Baker and his wife, Cherie, of
Austin; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, David Howard and
his wife, Susan, of Waupun, Wisconsin; and sister, Kathy Kirchoff and her
husband, Kerry, of Waupun Wisconsin. She
is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Baker; and brother, Donald
Howard.
A
gathering of Mrs. Baker’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00
p.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue,
Beaumont. Her funeral service will be
2:00 p.m., December 31, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
