Mark Klaus Matthes, 52, of Lumberton, died Tuesday,
December 24, 2013. He was born on May
26, 1961, in Riverside, New Jersey, to Hildegard Caesar Matthes and
Klaus Matthes. He served his country in
the United States Marines Corp during Desert Storm and was a Human Resource
Manager at WalMart.
Survivors include his daughter,
Shelby Allyse Matthes of Sugar Land; sons, Mason Carlton Matthes and Marshall Klaus Matthes, both of Lumberton;
and Eric Matthes of Woodlands; and mother, Hildegard Matthes of Ocala, Florida. He is preceded in death by his father.
A gathering of Mr. Matthes’
family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 3:00
p.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His committal will be held at Broussard’s
Crematorium, Beaumont.
