Debra "Nanny" Ann Stelly
August 20, 1968 - December 21, 2013
Debra Ann Stelly, “Nanny” 45, of Stowell, died December 21, 2013, at
Winnie Community Hospital. She was born on August 20, 1968, in Ville Platte,
Louisiana, to Mary Jane Freeman and Lionel Tezeno, and had been a longtime
resident of Stowell. Debra was a 1986 graduate of East Chambers High School and
was formerly employed by The Arboretum of Winnie. Debra was baptized in China,
at St Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of
twenty five years, Troy Stelly; daughter, Jocelyn Stelly of Stowell; sons, Troy
Stelly, Jr., Aaron Stelly, Treivon Stelly, Demarcus Stelly, and Travis Stelly,
all of Stowell; brothers, Clarence Tezeno and Rionel Tezeno, both of Stowell; Darrell Tezeno of Houston; and Jimmy Tezeno
and his wife, Matilda, of Stowell; sisters, Gloria Young of Beaumont, Shirley
Walker and Jeanelle Tezeno, both of Stowell; and grandchildren, Deanna Stelly
and Dezi Stelly; two god-daughters, Samantha Tezeno and Tearra Tezeno; a host
of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; friends and other relatives.
Mrs. Stelly was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-
in- law and father- in-law, Waylene and Ernest Stelly.
A gathering of Mrs. Stelly’s family and friends will begin at 9:00
a.m., her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013,
at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 303 ˝ First East Street, Stowell, with
interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
