Ed
Stone Stewart, Jr., 73, of Beaumont, died Saturday, December 21, 2013, at
Cypress Glenn East Nursing Facility, Port Arthur. He was born October 30, 1941,
to Nancy and Ed Stone Stewart, Sr. Ed worked for many years as a welder in the
Marine industry, before his retirement. He enjoyed playing pool, watching
sports, fishing and being outdoors in general. Ed also prided himself on always
looking sharp.
He
is survived by his daughter, Dana Kendrick and her husband, Ken, of Beauxart Gardens;
sons, Patrick Stewart of Nederland and Steven Stewart and his wife, Darcy, of
Beaumont; sisters, La Prelle LeBlanc and her husband, Paul, of Beaumont and
Bobbie Medina of Nederland; brother, Charles Stewart and his wife, Peggy, of
Newton; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one on the way.
Ed
is preceded in death by his parents.
A
gathering of Mr. Stewart’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December
24, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park,
Port Neches.
