Donald Hodges, 81, of Winnie,
died Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Memorial Hermann Hospital, in Houston. He
was born on June 17, 1932, in Snyder, to Bessie Mae Gladson Hodges and James
Eulan Hodges.
Mr. Hodges retired as a shift
foreman from the Independent Refining. He then pursued a farming career raising
rice, soybeans and cattle. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church
of Winnie, and a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge.
Donald is survived by his loving
wife, Tommye Onstott Hodges, of Winnie; son, Steve Hodges and his wife,
Melissa, of Winnie; daughter, Dianne Gaudet Cline and her husband, Robert, of
Baytown; grandchildren, Amber Marlin, Derrick Gaudet, Dustin Gaudet, Ashley
Anthony, Brookelyn Ellis, and Kahla Rachal; great-grandchildren, Jared Marlin,
Jaxon Marlin, Anslee Marlin, Bailey Gaudet, Avery Gaudet, Ally Harrison, Trace
Harrison, Sylas Gaudet, and Charlotte Anthony; and sister, Billie Wilson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A gathering of Mr. Hodges’ family
and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 7:00
pm, Friday, December 13, 2013, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive,
Winnie. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
