Ruth Duncan French

Ruth Duncan French, 88, of Beaumont, died Sunday, December 1, 2013, at the Silsbee Convalescent Center, Silsbee. She was born on June 25, 1925, to Dona Bell Blevins and George McKinley Duncan. Ruth retired from Southwestern Bell doing external affairs and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Beaumont.

Survivors include her son-in-law, David Budd; nephews, David Vaughan of Arlington, Bruce Vaughan and Tim Vaughan, both of Richmond, Virginia, and Scott French of Metairie, Louisiana; one niece of Beaumont; and great-niece, Jennifer Vaughan.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tommy French Budd.

A gathering of Mrs. French’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2013, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont.
