George Emery Donalson, III

George Emery Donalson, III, 89, left his loved ones on earth to be reunited with his loved ones in Heaven.  He was born on November 2, 1924, in Kirbyville, to Nancy Ann Tompkins Donalson and George Emery Donalson, Jr.  George was a member of the Silsbee High School class of 1942 and was a Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Donalson; daughter, Donna Cormier; son-in-law, Lucius Cormier; son-in-law, Gary Phillips; brother-in-law, George Hayes; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Hayes; sisters, Helen Bistline and Janette Van Winkle; grandchildren, Kearsy Cormier and Kieron Brown; Kristin and Russell Malone; Chase and Mandy Cormier; Daphne Phillips; Konor and Kristi Cormier; Robin and Justin Moore; Candace and Eric Ballard; Virginia Phillips; Amy and Wayne Olivier; and Cale Cormier; great-grandchildren, Hunter Filson; Colin Cormier; Trinity Malone; J.J. Olivier; Hayden Malone; Jude Emery Moore; Micah Olivier; Andy Cormier; Carter Ballard; Kinzie Elena Cormier; and Coen Moore.  He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Mona Plunk; his hunting buddy, John Tucker; and his friend, partner-in-crime, companion, and super caregiver, Beverly Jones; and many cousins; nieces; nephews; and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Linda Dieringer and Karen Phillips; wives, Eleanor Christian Donalson and Ruth Hooks Donalson; grandson, Timothy David Gary; sister, Mildred Worthey; and brother, Jerrel D. Donalson.

The family wishes to thank the personnel at Physicians Link in Silsbee for their devotion and service to George.

The family requests no flowers, but if you wish to make a donation, please consider a food bank to feed people less fortunate than George; he had a very good life and he never missed a good meal.

A gathering of Mr. Donalson’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, 670 North 5th Street, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.
