Mary Ann Denson

Mary Ann Denson, 78, of Nederland, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born February 5, 1935, to May Bell and James Dawson Morehead, Sr. in Dallas, grew up in Elkhart, and had been a resident of the Mid-County area since 1966. Mary Ann enjoyed reading, crocheting and working in her flower garden.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Istre and her husband, David, of Port Neches and Michelle Williamson and her husband, Richard, of Orangefield; son, Alan Denson and his wife, Kathy, of Groves; and five grandsons.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty-seven years, Larry Denson; and brother, Jimmy Morehead.

A gathering of Mrs. Denson’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
