Una Lea Wier

Una Lea Wier, 81, of Beaumont, departed this life Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Lenrose Place Assisted Living, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on August 4, 1932, to Margaret Sanford Ayers and David Ayers.

She leaves behind her children: Valerie Cooley and her husband, Tom, of Bevil Oaks; Mickey Wier and his wife, Phyllis, of Beaumont; James Wier and his wife, Patricia, of Mc Kinney; Kyle Wier and his wife, Cindy, of Beaumont; and Vanessa Sevison and her husband, Elwood, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Shannon Cooley, David Wier, Becky Wier, Michael Wier, USMC Sgt. Michelle Wier, and Ellen Wier; and great-grandchildren, Lane, Landon, and Crissie.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Mickey Wier.   

A gathering of Mrs. Wier’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Knupple Cemetery, Silsbee.
