Raiford L. McCurry

Raiford L. McCurry, 73, of Lumberton, died Thursday, October 24, 2013.  He was born on September 11, 1940, in Kirbyville. 

Survivors include his wife, Joann McCurry; children, Lazell McCurry of Kirbyville; Laray McCurry of Houston; and Lavern Adaway of Silsbee; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger McCurry of Kirbyville; Tommy McCurry of Vidor; and Sherman McCurry of Bridge City; and sister, Ann McCurry of Kirbyville.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister; and step-daughters, Nina Buckner and Sandra Durham. And one great-grandchild, Skylar Maghe.

A gathering of Mr. McCurry’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Kirbyville Cemetery, Kirbyville.
