Jone Ray Carruth, 76, of Lumberton, died Sunday,
September 1, 2013. He was born on April
25, 1937, in Kingsland, Arkansas, to Retha and Raymond F.
Carruth. Jone Ray owned and operated a
service station equipment company for over thirty years.
Survivors include his children, Celia Burrows and Darren Carruth and his wife, Andrea, all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Celena Hinton, Chase Burrows, Justin Carruth, Bryant Carruth, and Matthew
Carruth; great-grandchildren, Shae David, Luke, and Natasha; sister, Betty Kay Lawrence; and brother, Delton D. Carruth, both of West Monroe, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his
parents; and wife, Betty Carruth; and sister, Lougenia Edwards.
A gathering of Mr. Carruth’s
family and friends will being 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September
4, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal will follow at R.S.
Farmer Memorial Cemetery, Silsbee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York 10018.
