Jamie Gail Doggette, 40, of Porter, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was born on August 16, 1972, to Gail Reeves and James Doggette, in Port Arthur. Jamie was employed as a teacher and was also a member of Assembly of God church. She had a good sense of humor and loved animals. Jamie opened her home to nearly all strays that showed up.
She is survived by her parents, James and Gail Doggette; sister, Kellie Smith and her husband, Patrick, of Nederland; nephews, Chase Smith and Dylan Smith; grandfather, Reverend James F. Doggette of Groves; and numerous aunts and uncles.
A gathering of Ms. Doggette’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
