I grew up directly across the street from Cliff in Groves. I've known him as long as I can remember. We went through school together all the way to graduating from PNG. We spent many a day of our youth surfing together at Mecom's Pier. He was truly a friend all my life. I never heard an unkind word from him. We grew up, went different directions and raised our families. Anytime we ran into each other, there was a story and we caught up the best we could. He was a warrior for God and always had a laugh in his heart. I will miss him in this world, but if I've done my part, he will greet me and we'll surf God's endless wave together for eternity.
