Dennis Marc Matthews, 49, of Sour Lake died December 12, 2004 at his residence. A native of Galveston, Texas and a lifelong resident of the area, he was a superintendent with a construction company.
He is survived by his parents, J.B. and Jeraldine Matthews of Sour Lake; sisters, Michaelene Green and husband Donald of Hixson, Tennessee and Jackie Bennett and husband Lyle of Dunbar, West Virginia; brother, Lawrence Matthews of Nederland; grandfather, Willis Mouton Sr. of Winnie; niece, Tiffany Bennett and nephews, Derrick Bennett, Christopher Cox, Thomas Matthews and Jeremiah Matthews,and his special baby, Regina "Shorty" Hoffpauier.
A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2004 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, North Major Drive, Beaumont.
