Kim Eugene Gillespie, 54, of Port Neches, died Monday, May 6, 2013. He was born on October 24, 1958, to Twila Jeane and Eugene Huston Gillespie, in Port Arthur, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Kim was President of Gillespie’s Engine Service, Inc. in Groves. He enjoyed watching baseball, softball, and attending church. Kim was a dedicated man who loved his family and the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Janella Gillespie; children, Margeaux Gillespie of Port Arthur and Travis Thompson of Port Neches; mother, Twila Gillespie of Port Arthur; and mother and father-in-law, Adele and Chief James Newsom.
Kim is preceded in death by his father; sister, Gina Shay Gillespie Lynch; and his grandparents.
A gathering of Mr. Gillespie’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Remembrance and Encouragement service to begin at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Life Church, 4600 Jimmy Johnson Boulevard, Port Arthur. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Life Church, Port Arthur, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
