Patricia “Trish” Underwood, 59, of Winnie, went to be with her Lord on April 13, 2013, after a long battle with breast cancer. Patricia was born to Alexson and Trixie Bertrand, on March 19, 1954, in Anahuac.
She dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren and helping anyone who needed help.
She is survived by her parents, Trixie and Alexson Bertrand of Winnie; husband of thirty-five years, Charles Underwood; daughter, Brandy Knight and her husband, Edgar, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; son, Steven Underwood and his wife, Britney, of Winnie; beloved grandchildren, Shelby Knight, Brittany Nelson, and Alyssa Knight, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Tatum Peters, Sean Underwood, Steven Underwood, Jr., and Kara Underwood, all of Winnie; sisters, Sara Rose and her husband, Steve, of Hamshire; Laura Shafer and her husband, Tommy; and Becky McMahon and her husband, Paul, all of Winnie; brother, Terry Bertrand and his wife, Janet and Billy Bertrand, all of Winnie; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Debby and Francois Lefebvre, of New Caney; and numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and friends that she loved very much.
She will be sorely missed by everyone one who knew her.
A gathering of Mrs. Underwood’s family of friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Broussard’s, 134 W Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00 am, Monday, April 15, 2013, at Broussard’s, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
