Dale Norman Hailey, 67 years, of Port Neches passed away, Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Hailey of Port Neches; two daughters, Donna Haag and Tammy McCelvey both of Port Neches; one son of Nederland and six grandchildren; his mother, Willie Mae Hailey of Nederland; and one sister, Kathy Babineaux of Zavalla.
Dale was born July 3, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas and had been a lifelong resident of the Port Arthur area, and was retired from Pipefitters Local #195 after being a member for 48 years. Dale was also a faithful member of Cornerstone Family Worship Center in Nederland where he served as an Elder in the church. He loved shrimping, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also loved singing in church. His best friends were his dogs Rick, Co-Co, and Puddin.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jay Schachner and the staff of Mamie McFaddin Cancer Treatment Center in Beaumont. We also offer a special thank you to Dr. Gerstenberg and staff for their support and prayers, as well as the Odyssey staff who showed us such kindness and compassion in the last days. We would also like to thank our Cornerstone Church family for their love and prayers.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2004 at Broussard’s Mortuary, 505 12th. Street, Nederland. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2004 at Cornerstone Family Worship Center, 3508 Canal Ave., Nederland with Pastor Mike Guarnere and Associate Pastor Michael Kotz officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
