Randy Pearson, 71, of Beaumont, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on April 7, 1941, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Betty Grantham Pearson and Randal Pearson, and had been a longtime resident of the Beaumont area.
He was a wonderful dad and generous person. Randy loved cars, trucks, and animals. He was employed as a process operator for Goodyear Chemical Company for thirty-six years.
Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Mary Catherine Pearson; daughter, Kelly Brewton and her husband, Gary, of Beaumont; sons, Stephen Pearson of Houston and Kevin Pearson of Grand Junction, Colorado; granddaughters, Caroline Brewton, Bailey Brewton, and Ava Pearson; nephews, Keith Woodside and Korey Woodside; niece, Kim Moore; other family members; and his dog, Sandy.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Woodside.
A gathering of Mr. Pearson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, in the Chapel of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
