Amry “Chuck” Joseph Wright, 89, of Meeker, died Friday, February 22, 2013. He was born on December 15, 1923, to Louina and Willis Wright. Chuck was a retired rice farmer and cattleman.
Survivors include his daughter, Portia Wright; son, Fabian Wright, both of Meeker; grandchildren, Niki McKinley; Danielle Wood and her husband, Jason; and Dylan Frazier; great-grandchildren, Trey McKinley, Cain McKinley, Colin McKinley, J.C. Wood, and Lillie Wood; sister, Bessie Kettl; and numerous other family members.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Belle Melancon Wright; his brother; and his sister.
A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. with a gathering of Mr. Wright’s family and friends to follow, Monday, February 25, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 West Highway 90, China, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
