Joseph E. “Joe” Grant

Still at a loss for words. Complete shock. I'll never quite will fully understand why we lose loved ones before their time but I do know this much fully; God got Himself a great young man. Joe, I'm gonna miss you. Wish we could have got together more often. At least I have our school memories. See ya on the other side Man! My thoughts & prayers goes out to all his friends & family. I know there are no words that can take away your pain but I am truly sorry for your loss. My husband thought very highly of Joseph (Yoyo) and although I only met him a few times I could tell he was a good person with a big heart.

Rest in Peace JoJo!! I became very good friends with Joseph through the 9 years that we were in school together. He was the sweetest, kindest, yet craziest friend that I had. He could always make you day better with a smile or a goofy comment. I know that he is in a better place, but it still hurts to see him go. He will be greatly missed and I personally know that the world will be a dimmer place without his smile... To his family and everyone whose life he touched, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Each day that has passed I have sat here looking at this page with Joe's photo and continue to find myself in a state of disbelief and total lack of words for the family. I am not a religious man but this scripture came to mind, Rm. 8:26 - In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Your family is being lifted up in prayer to God by many people.

I knew your grandmother and visited with her long before you were born - back when she worked at the Hardin Co. News when it was in Kountze. She was a treat. She was always proud of her family and I know she should have been. I was in school several years ahead of your parents. I can not say I know how they feel but I do certainly sympathize. Prayers their way!!!

When the name Joseph Grant is spoken the first thing that pops into my mind is his smile. Joseph never seemed to be having a bad day, and he was always so positive. He was a very easy person to talk to and never seemed to meet a stranger. Every time he would come into the office he would make it a point to ask us how we were doing and how our day was going.

He made his mark on the hearts of the people that have had the pleasure of knowing him. His smile and laughter will forever be missed.

Dear Grant Family and friends, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am not sure if I have ever had the chance to meet your sweet boy, but my son knew him from school and ccd and I have known most of the Grant family since I was a little girl. I am blessed to call Becky Sheri, Clint and Angela friends. My life has been blessed to have you in it during my times of trouble and in my times of joy. I love each of you dearly! Dinah, sadly I do know your pain because your son was reunited with my son yesterday when Jacob welcomed Joe home at the gates of heaven. I am hurting that you now must know this pain. It is a pain I wish no one ever had to know. there will be darkness and sorrow for the rest of our lives, but we will also find small moments of joy. I pray that God will wrap you in his loving, comforting arms and help you on this journey. we never ask for the title of grieving parent. this is a club we never wanted to be member of, nor do we want to wear these horrible concrete shoes, but someday, I hope we find a way to make them a little more comfortable until we can be with our children again. I will pray for your family, but especially for you and Clay every day that we are forced to walk this earth without one of our children. Joe was a "just" person, "the age that is honorable comes not with the passing of time, nor can it be measured in terms of years....he pleased God....Having become perfect in a short while, he reached the fullness of a long career" Wisdom 4:7-14
