Nodie Lenora Bunt, 87, of Hitchcock, Texas died November 25, 2004 at Gulf Health Care in Texas City. A native of Adhall, Texas and resident of Beaumont most of her life before moving to Hitchcock, Nodie was a retired drug manager for Kroger’s in Beaumont.
An avid gardener with a green thumb, Nodie loved to fish and reorganize things. She loved her grandchildren and always had a secure and loving place for anyone.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Bunt and his wife of Rebba of Pinewood, John R. Bunt and his wife of Joycelyn of Sugarland, and Tom Bunt and good friend Karen Whitburn of Hitchcock; daughter, Margaret Jones and her husband Gary of Lake Jackson; brother, Jack Loftin and his wife Etheleen of Livingston; grandchildren, Melissa Stein and her husband Robert of Colorado Springs, Laura Bunt of Houston, Sean Jones and his wife Laura of Austin, Chris Jones and his wife Chandler of Denton and Jared Jones of Lake Jackson; great grandchildren, Amelia Stein, Avery Stein, Autumne Jones and Raven Jones.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004 at Walker Creek Cemetery, Cameron, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday evening, November 27, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett Lowry Expressway, Texas City, Texas.
