Cecil Earl Smart

Cecil Earl Smart, 64, of Kountze passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at his residence. A native of Silsbee he had lived in Kountze for more than 40 years. He had worked in construction and in the oilfield as a driller for T & T Well Service for most of his life. Mr. Smart also proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Judy Smart. He is survived by his children, Terry Wade Smart of Kountze, Avis Leavins and husband James of Jacksonville, Tx., and Charlena McNeely and husband Leslie of Kountze; brothers, Larry Smart of Silsbee and Roger Dale Smart of Alabama; sister, Diane Knobloch of Humble; grandchildren, Terry Dwayne Smart and Anthony Layne Smart, Heather Cain, Michelle McNeely and Kori Bumstead; five step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Broussard’s Mortuary Chapel in Kountze with interment following at the Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Tx. A gathering of family and friends was held on Monday. Pallbearers for Mr. Smart will be Joe Smart, Bryan Howell, Ricky McIntyre, James Leavins, Jr., Dennis McIntyre and Timothy Reither.
