Barbara Ann Stephenson, 70, of China, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on December 12, 1942, in, Gueydan, Louisiana, to Eva Cormier Kershaw and Alcee P. Kershaw, and had been a longtime resident of China.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Lloyd Stephenson; father, Alcee Kershaw and his wife, Helen of Hackberry, Louisiana; son, Herbert Stephenson and his wife, Lori, of Santa Fe and Maxey Stephenson of China; grandchildren, Danielle Stephenson and Christopher Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Cameron Harper, Makayla Harper, Christopher Stephenson II, and Gavin Stephenson; brother, Larry Adams of Vidor; and half sister, Elaine LaComb of Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Eva Byrd; and grandson, Matthew Stephenson.
A graveside service for Mrs. Stephenson will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2013, at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Highway 421, Sour Lake, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
