Trevelyn Brookshire, 83, of Beaumont, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth Beaumont. She was born on May 7, 1929, in Indian Bayou, Louisiana, to Lucinda Hoffpauir Morgan and Elic Morgan.
Survivors include her sons, Elic Brookshire Llewellyn and his wife, Susan, of Olympia, Washington; and Charles Brookshire and his wife, Debbie, of Buna; grandchildren, Carly Ross and her husband, Rick, of Harker Heights; and Chris Brookshire and his wife, Tosha, of San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Caleb Ross, Brooke Ross and Alaina Ross; nephews, Orvis Woods and his wife, Beulah and Randy Morgan and his wife, Jeanette; and her extended family, Andrew Kennedy and his family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Buck Brookshire.
A gathering of Mrs. Brookshire’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4445 Pershing Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery, Indian Bayou, Louisiana.
