Mildred Moye Neeley
Mildred Moye Neeley, 95, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 15, 2004 at Spring Seasons in Vidor.
She was a native of Quitman, Texas, and was part of the Wood County State Championship Basketball Team. She had lived in the Beaumont area for sixty-two years, and was owner of Neeley’s Workroom. Mildred had been a Sunday School Teacher at Calvary Baptist Church and Terrell Park Baptist Church, where she was a charter member.
She is survived by her nieces, Marilyn Schiesler, Jo Ledbetter, Ruby Placker, Patty Schroeder, Sharon Hartis, Mary Nell Johnson, and Carolyn LeJune; and her nephew Jimmy McLeroy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Neeley; her sister, Montine McLeroy; her brother, William V. Johnson and Henry B. Johnson; and her nephew, Billy Johnson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin followed by burial at Magnolia Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, November 16, 2004 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Mortuary.
