Rebecca “Becky” Kohn, 66, of Bevil Oaks, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012. She was born on October 8, 1946, in Beaumont, to Yvonne and Ralph Schmeckpeper, and had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area.
Becky was a loving and generous Mom and Nana. She loved her family, her dogs, and enjoyed spending time at the beach.
Becky is survived by her daughter, Lea Kohn of Waller; son, Scott Kohn and his wife, Kathy, of Vidor; grandchildren, Mikayla Kohn, Audrey Kohn, and Jaylyn Kohn, all of Vidor; and dogs, Paris and Lucky.
She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Jimmy Kohn.
A gathering of Mrs. Kohn’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
