Ruben DuWayne Walker, 55, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, December 10, 2012, at his home. He was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Oma Lee and Elbirt E Walker. He served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his mother, Oma Lee Walker of Silsbee; son, Derrick DuWayne Walker and his wife, Brenda of Henderson; grand child, Eric DuWayne Walker of Henderson; and siblings, Richard W. Walker of Fred, Glenn Walker and Dena Christoper and her husband, Keith all of Silsbee. He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Robert L. Walker.
A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery.
