Mary Ann Taylor, 61, of Lumberton, died Thursday, October 11, 2012, at her home in Lumberton. She was born on March 3, 1951, in Sour Lake, to Margaret and Perry Lee Williams. Formerly of Pasadena, she moved to Lumberton two years ago. Mary Ann retired (due to illness) after twenty-four years from Plant Performance Services as a field accounting manager.

She loved cooking, gardening, and writing. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite times of the year for baking. Mary Ann loved to bake and give her goodies to co-workers and friends. She was always in charge of the cooking and loved baking for the family. Mary Ann was good at directing all of us about how to do the cooking. She was an angel baker and baked cookies for the troops each month. Mary Ann was a very loving and giving person, not only for her family and co-workers, but to everyone she came in contact with. Most of all she loved the Lord with all her mind and soul. Always studying her bible and searching for the truth in God’s Word. She will leave a void in all the lives of those who loved her.

Mary Ann is survived by her dad, Perry Lee Williams of Lumberton; sister, Linda Ann Meehan and her husband, Tim, of Lumberton; son, Joseph Crawford of Lumberton; daughter-in-law, Christie Crawford of Goodrich; grandchildren, Jesica Thacker and Travis Thacker, both of Goodrich, and Brandie Shelton of Vidor; and great-grandchildren, Karlee Rh’nee Ledbetter and Braylee Ann Ledbetter, both of Vidor.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Williams.

A gathering of Ms. Taylor’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October, 13, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.

Mary Ann,

Words can not say how much you changed my life and my family. You were there... even when you were 2000 miles away. Just the sound of your voice over the phone was always a comfort to me. I felt like you could give hugs through the phone. From the very 1st email I sent you until the last words we spoke - I must say it was all in LOVE! You meant so much to many yet you were so personal with us all. I love you and know that you are in HEAVEN were you belong in the arms of our TRUE FATHER, our Lord, our Savior. I thank God that he allowed you to be you and for us to share your different states in life with each other. I am so Grateful for the overwhelming impact you made in my life and all of us (Timekeepers). It's been a few years and I still hold you close in my heart.

I still love and miss you!!! I hope that your family is getting along and enjoying your Legacy of Love! We are all your children and we miss you MOM! Love always, 4ever, and a million days.

Sweet Dreams,
Alisha W. Dozier

Mary Ann was a comfort to me after my mother's(Verna Johnson) passing. Although we had only met once, she reached out to me with love and kindness. What a wonderful woman she was. I know two friends have been reunited!

Mary Ann started me off in the world of timekeeping and I am so greatful to her. It can be a mad and crazy world out here and she kept me sane. No matter what your problems were she would make you think about what to do and make everything better. I loved going to her office after a job just to talk and to look at all the pictures she had of all her girls and their children, she was proud of us. I will miss you Mary Ann, and we are lucky having you to watch over us like you always did while you were here. RIP wonderful woman (Mom)!
