Irene Louise ( Jordan ) French , 84, of Port Arthur. A native of Votaw, TX and long time resident of Nederland, she passed away Friday, November 5, 2004 at Cypress Glen Nursing & Rehabilitation in Port Arthur. She was retired from Beall’s Department Store in Port Arthur.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. Nederland. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Broussard’s Nederland Chapel with Reverend Frank Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Robert J. ( Bob ) French, parents John Jordan, Sr. and Lillie Jordan, sister Marie Fertitta of Beaumont, and brother John Duncan Jordan, Jr.
Survivors include her son Raymond T. Johnson and wife, Judy of Orange; three grandchildren, Rae Lynn Lansing and husband, Michael of Ft. Worth, John Johnson and wife Lena of Winnie, and Ann Marie Rhynes of Nederland; seven great grandchildren, Amber, Alaina, and Allen Lansing of Ft. Worth, and Dustin, Abby, Blake, and Emily Johnson of Winnie; two nieces, Sammie (Fertitta) Kelly and husband, Vance of Houston, and Linda (Fertitta) Boudreaux and husband, Thad of Beaumont; three great nephews, Aaron & Ryan Boudreaux of Beaumont, and Tyler Kelley of Houston.
