Jack L Bogart, 55, of Humble, formerly of Akron, Ohio, died Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Houston Hospice, Houston. He was born March 20, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, to Joan Hurst Bogart and Jack Bogart. He was a self-employed contractor in computer engineering.

Jack’s contract work led to an adventurous life. He spent time in Saudi Arabia, Alaska, California, Iowa, Louisiana, and Texas as well as his home state Ohio.

Wherever he landed, Jack’s love for God led him to find a place of worship. He was a willing servant and lived his final years with a grateful heart. Jack led Bible studies and Sunday school classes and encouraged the youth at many of their activities. He loved God, his wife, his family, his church family, and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Reverend Kristin Bogart; four dogs, Lulu, Chase, Ralph, and Sadie; her family: parents, Joyce and Rod Rockwell; daughters, Anna Beatty and her husband, Mike; and Ashley Watts; brothers, Ryan Rockwell; and Troy Rockwell and his wife, Samantha, and their sons; his family: father, Jack Bogart; sister, Denise Fehr and her husband, Dana; son, Dan Bogart and his wife, Val, and their children, Alyssa, Jillian, Avery, Julia, and Claire; daughter, Sarah Friddle and her husband, Tom, and their children, Kyle, Lynae, and Myah; and by a myriad of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is welcomed into eternal life by his heavenly Father; his mother, Joan Hurst Bogart; and son, Tim Bogart.

A memorial service for Mr. Bogart will be 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2012, at Atascocita United Methodist Church, 19325 Pinehurst Trail Drive, Atascocita, under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

There will be a gathering of Mr. Bogart’s family and friends beginning at 6:00 p.m., with an additional memorial service at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Parkside Church: Green Campus, 4520 South Arlington Road, Green, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Atascocita United Methodist Church Building Fund-Landscaping, 19325 Pinehurst Trail Drive, Atascocita, Texas 77346.
