Jilverto “Pancho” Garcia, 66, of Beaumont, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at home. Pancho was born in China, Texas, on October 19, 1945, to Bonifacia Alviar Garcia and Juan Garcia.
Survivors include his mother, Bonifacia Garcia of Beaumont; sisters, Leonicia Alviar of Poteet; Hortencia Garcia of Beaumont; and Mary Helen Carreon of Poteet; brothers, John Garcia; Julian Garcia; Alfred Garcia and Ruben Garcia all of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Garcia; sisters, Patricia Villafano and Stella Garcia; and brother, Joe Garcia.
A gathering of Mr. Garcia’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 767 Avenue A, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
