Ada Chavez, 66, of Anahuac, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at The Arboretum, Winnie.
Ada is survived by her husband, Jose Chavez; sons, Jose Chavez and his wife Alicia, and David Chavez and his wife, Ana; daughters, Belma Guerra; Alicia Hernandez and her husband, Jacinto, and Norma Mora and her husband, Carmelo; grandchildren, Eliberto M. Guerra, Angelita Mireles, Bianca Bland, Arturo Ruiz, Mario Ruiz, Joseangel Chavez, Carlos Lara, Tiffany Chavez, Nina Chavez, Jorge Lacus Hernandez, Liz Lessett Hernandez, Lydia Eve Hernandez Santiago Hernandez, Efrain Mora, Ramiro J. Mora, Darla Mora, and Jessica L. Mora; great-grandchildren, Jose Mora, Victor Castillo, Karla Rodriguez, Diana Mireles, Daniella Rodriguez, Alexis Myres, Damian Guerra, Talitha Guerra, Draven L. Guerra, Jovanni Joel Gomez, Leslie Karina Gomez, Anahi Cruz Olande, and Julian Olande; and a host of family members and friends.
A gathering of Mrs. Chavez’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 2207 South Main, Anahuac, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
