Karl Ray Lovett, 55, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He was born August 31, 1956, in Port Arthur, to Betty Lovett and John W. Lovett and had been a longtime resident of the area. Karl was a self employed cosmetologist at Salon West.
Survivors include his life partner for twenty-one years, Rick Moore of Beaumont; mother, Betty Griffith; brothers, Johnny Lovett and his wife, Kay of Beaumont and David Lovett and his wife, Linda of Port Neches; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, John W. Lovett.
A gathering of Mr. Lovett’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2012, at Broussard’s, with a committal to follow at Broussard’s Crematorium.
A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Lovett's life will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2012, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware, Beaumont, Texas.
