Richard H. Griffith, 92, of Beaumont died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. A native of Utica, New York and resident of the Beaumont area since 1993, Richard owned and operated a household moving and storage company. He was a fifty-year member of Oriental-Faxton Lodge #0224 in Utica, New York A.F.& A.M., a thirty -second degree Scottish Rite Mason, fifty-year member of Augusta-Grace Chapter 126 O.E.S.- Shriner, and he enjoyed reading and gardening.
A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2004 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
He was preceded in death by his wife Phoebe in 2004, and a brother, Spencer Griffith.
Survivors include his son, David Griffith and his wife Valarie of Beaumont; daughter, Virginia Griffith of Florida; sister, Elizabeth Thomas of New York; sister-in-law, Doris Cloyes and her husband Gilbert of Newbern, North Carolina; five grandsons, one granddaughter and nine great-grandchildren
