Garland Sonnier

I am deeply saddened to hear of Garland's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at Allstate in Houston. He was one of the kindest and most sincere people I have ever met. I will always remember his smile and sincerity. My prayers and thoughts are with his family whom he loved so much.

I am so sorry for your loss, Michelle. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers to Garland's family. I graduated with Garland from Orangefield H.S. He was truly one of the good guys- always kind, compassionate, and accepting of others. I know he will be greatly missed by all.

My deepest sympathies to Garland's family and friends. I occasionally assisted Garland with his Catholic Mutual claims but only spoken to him on the phone; I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. It was always a pleasure speaking with him. He was such a genuine person and took pride in his work. My thoughts and prayers are with the Sonnier family during this difficult time.

It saddened me deeply to hear that Garland was in the hospital with a serious condition and even more that he had died. I only wish that I would have been able to see him or be at his funeral. In every case there was something else on my aganda that prevented.
Garlad was a kind man, pleasnat and competant to deal with. I always enjoyed speaking with him. He was very helpful. I know that the family will miss him.

My condolances to family members, relatives and friends on the loss of Garland. I worked closely with him at Catholic Mutual Group on the handling of claims for the Diocese. He will be missed greatly by everyone he touched in his life. He was always upbeat and positive when we talked. I was heartbroken when I heard the news this week and he and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

I went to OHS & graduated with Garland. I have fond memories of him. He was such a nice guy. I am very sad that he is gone from his family. Praying that the Lord will give you all comfort & strength at this time.

I had the priveledge to work with Garland at Allstate. He was one of the best leaders I have ever worked with and a true inspiration to us all. My life is better for knowing him! My prayers are with you all!

I am very sad to hear about Garland. Since I treat his mom like my own, I feel like I lost a brother. He was one of the finest people I have met. Always understanding, and caring about his mom and family. I am sure a lot of people testify to that fact.

But I have this hope that burns within my heart that one day we all will be reunited in a kingdom where there will be no sorrow, no separation.

We are not suppose to ask why when the good Lord calls our loved ones home, but he leaves us with the gift of memories in exchange. Memories are our legacy of his love. I worked with Garland at the Chancery. He was always willing to help and came into work with a great attitude. Garland was welcoming when I first started working for the Diocese and his absence is heavily felt by all of us here. We miss our coworker and our friend. Garland, my last memories of you will be us standing outside for the fire drill and you turning to give the "thumbs up" that we had done well. My other memory was of you continuing to remind me that I should get a rolling bag and not continue carrying a heavy briefcase because of how it could hurt my shoulder.
