Sammie Lee McCroskey, 94, of Nederland died Monday, October 11, 2004 at the Senior Rehabilitation Center in Port Arthur.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Mrs. McCroskey was a native of Aleaf, and lived in Nederland for 60 years. She retired from Burrell’s News Stand in Beaumont after several years as manager. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nederland.
She is survived by her sister, Glen Ora McCormack and husband Eugene of Austin. Six nieces and nephews, Richard Vickers, Lucille Hilton, Sammie Sue Wodarski of Austin, Tommy McCormack of Carrolton, H. K. Noble of Port Neches, and R. G. Noble of Nederland.
