Carol Jo Sanders Wells, 67, of Beaumont died January 1, 2012 at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, Louisiana. Born December 23, 1944 in Port Arthur, Texas, she was the daughter of Barbara Alice Lynd Sanders and Charlie Ivy Sanders. Carol Jo enjoyed having her nieces and nephews over to her home and she was known to them as Aunt Carol. She liked to play games, cards, and was the best hugger in the world. She is known to be loving, generous and was all about family and God.
She is survived by her brothers, Aaron Charles Sanders and his wife, Sue Ellen, Dan Michael Sanders and his wife, Lynn, Jon Gary Sanders and his wife, Carrie Elizabeth, Joel Ivy Sanders, and Jeff Wayne Sanders; sisters, Connie Lee Tatum and her husband, Pate Sr., Linda Gail Denzlinger and her husband, Jimmy Wayne, Sr., Wanda Jean Bienvenue and her husband, Chuck, Sandra Rossi, Jessica Ann Rowley and her husband, Benjamin, Lora Elaine Hill and her husband, Harry, Beverly Kaye Miller and her husband, Danny, Sr., Sherilyn Sue Edwards and her husband, David Mack; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Sanders. Carol Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loyd Nolan Wells; brother, Bobby Ray Sanders; brother-in-law, Ken Rossi; nephew, Russell Ugene Sanders; and niece, Rebecca Nicole Herrmann .
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Broussard’s Chapel, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland followed by burial at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening, January 6, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
